Roy Shelton appointed to Chair of Chester Business Club
We are excited to share the news that DropJaw founder and Managing Partner, Roy Shelton, has been appointed as Chair of Chester Business Club.
With the tagline ‘Creating the Business Voice for Chester’, Chester Business Club is arguably the leading organisation of its kind in the North West. Founded in 1986, CBC was created to be a new business grouping that people wanted to belong to, rather than feeling obligated. Over the years, the founding team (and the members that have joined over the years) have kept this spirit alive and now boast over 200 members.
Roy has been part of the club for over five years and supported on an executive level for the past two. Now, in his new role of Chair, Roy has the exciting task of steering the organisation forward for the next two years and continuing the great work of his predecessor – Julie Swinnerton
Roy commented: “I am delighted to be working further with the Chester Business Club and adding ongoing value for the Businesses of Chester”.
The CBC also has an active focus on supporting charities within the local area and wider, including – Bridge Wellness Gardens, Chester Sports Association for People with Disability, Chester Sexual Abuse Support Services, Chester Aid to the Homeless and The Hospice of the Good Shepherd. Roy’s own focus on charitable giving is well-aligned with the CBC and is something he is excited to work more on in his new position.
Huge congratulations to our Managing Partner, Roy – we are excited to see what the next two years holds for the Chester Business Club.
